How does it work?

Open Court partners with gallerists, institutions, and independent spaces to curate exhibitions and/or residencies featuring black artists both established and emerging. Through these collaborations artists are able to explore producing work that serves as a through line into the meta verse. Our venues and partner spaces are able to explore their role in supporting artists as tides change in the art world.

What is Open Court?

A dynamic artist residency & exhibition series created to expose black artists to gallery and exhibition spaces in person and in the meta verse. Through the use of NFTs and blockchain technology we intend to prepare black artists to not only thrive in our current physical context but also prepare them to participate in the new frontier of democratization and ownership.

Why it exists…

Technology has and always will continue to cause shifts across various industries. The creation of concepts like Open Court tie 21st century opportunities with traditional structures that have historically excluded black creatives and artists. This project places artists squarely at the front and puts them in a space to maximize ownership.
