Our Team Is Growing, Welcome Alvin C. Jacobs Jr.

We have a new team member!

All great movements require a great team - We're excited to announce that our team is expanding. Alvin C. Jacobs Jr. (@acjphoto) - Will be coming on board as the curator for the gallery portion of our project! As we wrap up our crowdsourcing campaign and lockdown a space it is important we put the proper infrastructure in place to maintain the space.

A native of Rockford, IL, Jacobs, is a professional photographer and image activist currently based in Charlotte, NC. As a transplant to the Queen City, he spent time honing his craft through training on the front lines of America's social justice movements. He has since emerged on the scene as a premier photographer and photo-documentarian.

“We’re excited about the value Alvin will bring. He’s got a unique experience and understands how we need the business and brand to operate. With that knowledge base we look forward to him finding artist and brands to partner with on our behalf. - David Butler (@dave_haswingz), Artist / Owner / Operator - Analogue Luxury

Jacobs specializes in social documentary, pro sports, portrait, editorial, and fashion photo-graphic projects. He has been commissioned for, and collaborated on multiple projects across the nation, The NFL, NBA, NASCAR and interviews via CNN, HLN, Fox News and various local outlets including a Black History Month exhibit for Clifford Chance, LLP in New York. In Jacobs’s most recent endeavor, he is a featured artist in the co-curated exhibit, entitled “K(no)w Justice, K(no)w Peace” at the Levine Museum of the New South in Charlotte, NC and at Davidson College in the photography exhibit “Three Steps Back: A Call To Action” in addition, his most recent commission photographing multiple record breaking dates on Jay Z’s 4:44 Tour.
